Join IBM as Senior Java developer/Build manager for the Global Business Services unit. Job description: This role designs, develops and supports application solutions to meet client requirements. They may design, develop and/or re-engineer highly complex application components, and integrate software packages, programs and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms. Responsibilities & Skills: Java SE development - Advanced knowledge on java - classes, interfaces, inheritance, object oriented design - writing and executing Junit tests - compiling the code , packaging - Java memory management, garbage collection Build engines - basic knowledge at least one of build engines and frameworks: Ant, Maven, Gradle, Hudson, Jenkins, RTC Java EE development - structure of enterprise applications, enterprise java beans, ear-s, war-s, deployment descriptors - knowledge of application servers in general - deployment, connection pools, messaging, transactions - preferred servers: Oracle WebLogic 11g, WebSphere Application Server 8.5 SQL development and administration - creation of database dumps - stored procedures and sql packages - DB administration - tablespaces, data files Scripting - writing bash and/or windows bat scripts - additional scripting languages - perl, python Documentation/Communication - describing the actual problem clearly, the tasks completed and the tasks to be done - describing the actions in a process-oriented way - raise concerns early in a constructive way |
