Java Developer (Continuous Integration)

Join IBM as Senior Java Developer (Continuous Integration) for the Global Business Services unit.


Job description:
This role participates on design, development and support of a large scale continuous integration systems based on Jenkins CI server used by various software developers and integrators on clients side.

Responsibilities:
- Supports international teams in all phases of software development
- Delivers services remotely from Kosice as well as on site at customer
location in Germany
- Builds and maintains a remote working relationship with the other team
members
- Collaborates with others to carry out assigned duties in a self-sufficient and
independent way
- Contributes by supporting activities that are subject to business
measurements or impacts customer satisfaction
- Ability to absorb professional knowledge quickly and develops skills
- Challenge the validity of given solutions with the intent to enhance and
improve

Required technical skills:
- Object oriented programming
- Java/J2EE
- Application servers – Apache Tomcat, Winstone
- SQL (Oracle11g)
- Version Control Systems (GIT, SVN)
- Maven
- JPA with ORM (Hibernate)
- Spring framework (Data Access, Transactions)
- Database design and data mining
- XML - SAX, DOM parsers, XPath query language

Advantage is to have skills from following areas:
- Continuous Integration Principles
- Continuous Delivery Principles
- Jenkins CI Server (Architecture, multi-configuration projects, Master-Slave, ..)
- Jenkins Plug-in development
- Linux
- Artifact Repository - Artifactory
