Country Workstation Asset Specialist
| Job description |
| ROLE The Country Workstation Asset Manager is the contact point providing primary workstations equipment for Internal IBM'ers (New / Refresh) in Europe. KEY MISSIONS • Act as Focal Point for Primary Workstations for IBM internal End Users • Act as Focal Point for CIO in all aspects complying to and executing IBM Internal workstation End User strategy • Participate in reviews and local meetings • Raise requirements to relevant process steps and WAM tools in order to improve efficiency • Report and interlock with the WAM Central Team in case of errors • Interlock with the Europe Capital Planner and Life Cycle Manager Country WAM Manager Responsibilities: PLAN FORECAST - Based request from Europe Capital Planner • provide Segmented Business Unit forecast by Q (following year) CAPEX - Based on Quarter Capex release from Europe Capital Planner • Update WWCT WAM ANALYSIS Based on IT Persona and exported to UK version to work with(current process as will be replaced by EPWS tool) REFRESH - Based on stock level • Identify aged workstation eligible for replacement via Hyperion Financial Report (by cty code) • Upload as spread sheet for User eligible analysis • Initiate invitation to End User to open request in RequestNow INVITATION - Workstation BAU 48 month Invitation Process • Initiate invitation to End User to open request in RequestNow ORDERING - Bond ordering via Orderdesk - access to country catalogues required - but once a move to GDD is done this will be handled differently • Reflect approved Quarterly Capex into Cty spread sheet template (Lenovo order template for WDC Shenzhen) and mail it to the Orderdesk BRA, who place the orders on behalf of the ctry into Bond • Forward confirmation of approved Bond CartId with PO number TO Capital Planner REQUEST NOW - RequestNow Approval Process Based on daily RequestNow from End User and stock available from vendor • Validate RequestNow for eligiblity according to IT Persona and workstation age • Approve RequestNow RequestNow admin tasks (WEB Contracts, Part Numbers creation / deletion) REPORTING - Data reporting feedback e-AMT - eAMT transfers based on WAM analysis+invite+return COMMUNICATION - Liaising with local PCShop/DCS/Third Party supplier Maintain strong relationship with BT/IT CIO Offices WAM daily business (weekly) / WAM Europe Calls Biweekly / WAM quarterly Interlocks meeting (CIO/ISC) CREATION OF CTRY SPECIFICS - Creation of country specific ids (Bluepages/Notes/Intranet) to manage the Invitation/queries ACCESSES - Grant access to the various online systems to the above IDs - Bond, WWCT, WAM Env Change Control, RequestNow etc Job Requirements •Good time management & project management •Above average spreadsheet skills – Excel, Symphony and/or Apache •Good communication skills – Verbal & written •Flexible work schedule •Work well within a team & independently across organizations •At least 1 year experience in Experience with working with Clients: Business Partners/pre-sales activities is an advantage •English: Fluent •German / Italian: Basic / Intermediate Successful candidates can use great benefits provided by the IBM company for its employees.
