Asset Management HW Analyst

Job description

Responsible for the currency and availability of inventory and demographic data within the operational inventory database
Complies with IBM policy with respect to physical inventory and inventory scan audit requirements
Runs variance reports as required and ensures that any identified variances are reconciled
Ensures that agreed operational inventory audit variances are reconciled and changes applied to the operational database
Reports and takes appropriate action concerning missing inventory items in line with IBM policy
Develops and maintains Inventory Tracking process automation, in areas of inventory item introduction, tracking and removal
Interfaces with Audit and other groups as required with respect to inventory item data
Responsible for providing efficient and quality inventory information to problem resolution, where Inventory Tracking expertise is required
Complies with Inventory Tracking standards, process and procedures as required
Captures and reports appropriate Inventory Tracking measurement data
Maintains the inventory database

Job Requirements:

Good time management & project management

Above average spreadsheet skills – Excel (creating macros, pivot tables), Symphony and/or Apache, knowing SESDR database is advantage

Good communication skills – Verbal & written

Flexible work schedule

Work well within a team & independently across organizations

At least 1 year experience in working with Clients: Business Partners/pre-sales activities is an advantage

English: Fluent -written/spoken
