IT Specialist 

Job description
Job Responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service in IT support
• Perform problem determination and recording of accurate details on all incoming queries and problems.
• Handle face-to-face & remote support for internal IBM employees with any IT issue
• Perform Install, Move, Add & Change (IMAC) activities
• Deal with both technical and non-technical people at all levels within the organisation
• Undertake internal and external training as required
• Work as part of a team
• Engage in various other tasks and initiatives within the team
• Continuosly develop knowledge of IBM applications such as Lotus Notes, Windows Operating Systems, LAN/WAN networks and TCP/IP connectivity, Printing solutions, Main frame applications, Global Web architecture
• deliver a distinctive client experience by always making the client the focus of everything we do

Required Skills
Very high level of verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Fluent in english and slovak language (both written and spoken)
Great team player, able to work in a high performing international team
Taking initiative and working as independent on their daily tasks, proactivity and willingness to help all clients
Excellent time keeping
Solid knowledge of IT basics - IT literacy, smooth work with computer, problem solving skills, plus is knowledge of Lotus Notes, IBM internal environment, any other IT skills are a plus
Knowledge of Windows Operating systems (W2K, XP), Networks (LAN/WAN), Lotus Notes, web browsers, printing
Willing to learn and develop technical and soft skills
Ability to handle customer complaints
Analytical and reporting skills


One or more of the following skills is great advantage:
Web development, programming languages and tools
Linux expert
MS Excel expert + work with Macros in Excel
Service management
Lotus Notes designer

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1 year experience in Client support for Windows Operating systems
  • At least 6 months experience in Client support for Linux Operating systems
  • At least 6 months experience in Web Development
  • English: Fluent
  • Slovakian: Fluent
Preferred
  • Master's Degree in Information Technology
