Job description, responsibilities and duties

Overview:
• Command responsibilities include leadership and management of the project team, customer, suppliers in execution of the contract
• Control of the scope, schedule, cost, quality and expectations.
• Coordination of the project plan, the work breakdown, responsibilities of team members and establishing team alignment.
• Being the central point of Communication, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed and receive information needed, reports to management of all matters financial, technical, customer and schedule.
• Producing and maintaining project documents and following company processes to the extent possible.
• Monitor and Control the financial status of the project (EAC, Billings, cost budgets, milestone payments, rebates, warranty)
• Monitoring execution progress, coordinating meetings, taking action to correct deviations from plan and escalating when required to ensure rapid return to plan.
• Managing risks and ensuring they are mitigated and capitalizing on opportunities.
• Implementing the commissioning process rigorously to ensure that the customer receives a quality product.
• Work with Accounting and LSS organisation to ensure that projects are properly closed out and turned over.
• Report relevant new business opportunities to account managers
• Work with sales and Proposal Development to ensure that project proposals are supported with proposal deliverables e.g. risk/opportunity, estimates, project plans
• Participate in the continuous improvement process with respect to project management procedures, guidelines and tools highlighting any possible areas where improvements can be made.

Key Deliverables:
• Successful Project Outcomes – High customer satisfaction, on time delivery, on budget or better financial performance while meeting high quality standards.
• Leadership of the project team and Team Alignment
• Planning and Project Plans – This includes Schedules, Invoice Plans, Cost Forecasts, RASIC or Responsibility Matrices, Risk Registers and Project Schedule Reservations.
• Weekly reports, chairing project status meetings and updates of plan documents on a cadence dictated by processes.

Qualifications needed:
• Business degree – Engineering Degree Preferred
• Working knowledge of computer based business software/automation tools;
• Good knowledge of English language - other European languages is a plus
• Minimum 4 years relevant experience managing large domestic and international integrated projects involving machinery and control systems. Material handling systems for cases and bags is a plus.
• Prior experience in project engineering, installation and commissioning is preferred.
• Commercial expertise and experience.
• PMP or PMI certified as project manager is a plus.
