Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
Develop Suppliers to meet standards for quality, delivery, lead-time and productivity for Honeywell – Safety and Productivity Solutions.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the following groups in the selection, qualification, and development of suppliers C&E, Buyout Coordinator, Strategic Sourcing, Project Engineering
Defines activities within the commodity management team to improve supplier quality, delivery, and performance for direct material suppliers (Including electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical components, raw materials and finished goods)
Directs PPAP (production part approval process) qualification activities associated re-qualifying parts as part of supplier transition projects
Directs Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) requirements and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) requirements related to project-specific components and products
Develops / Utilizes standard processes to coordinate the audit and approval of new suppliers
Leads the roll out, training and implementation of supplier quality tools for suppliers, including alignment with INT/HOS requirements
Leads and supports efforts to fully realize cost savings opportunities
Liaises effectively with commodity teams, program managers, operations and engineering leadership to identify and fully satisfy requirements for supplier quality engineering activities at global factories·
Assists / Leads SQE in the issue resolution and root-cause analysis processes associated with supplier quality PINs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in business administration, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain management
Minimum of 5 years of integrated supply chain or engineering experience
3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and/or quality and/or operations
Experience with direct reports in multiple sites/locations
Experience with ISO standards and supplier quality auditing
Strong background in lean six sigma and statistical process control, capability analysis (Cp, Cpk)
Must have demonstrated understanding of Commercialization, FAT / SAT processes, APQP, and PPAP processes
Solid engineering understanding of conveyor systems
Graduate degree preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
