Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The A&S ISC Technical Leader will be responsible for driving definition of actuator calibration specs with related PI, working closely with A&S PE, ProtoShop, AME ACOE Process Eng and Supplier in order to assure successfully the launch in production of the first application for new products assuring that Calibration RTY will reach Manufacturing Target.
A&S ISC TL will support also AME LOB Leaders on core/non-core manufacturing strategies definition for new product design related to sub-assembly kinematics operation, leading the make vs. buy process, evaluating product manufacturability, recommending design changes to reduce product cost and improve quality.

Personality requirements and skills

• Degree in Engineering ( Electronics & Automation Controls preferred)
• Five years + experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Product Engineer
• Proven manufacturing process expert in Automation Controls
• Good level of spoken and written English

Ability to effectively manage relations with internal & external customers, and suppliers.
• Ability to communicate concisely at all level inside and outside the company
• Understand electronic and mechanical configuration of e-ACT or sensor ( chipset, sensor type, CPU, DC motor, PCB connection, spring, gear, etc) and ability to program them.
• Understand Customer requirements and evaluate the fit with selected actuator (different calibration needs: PWM, SENT, CAN, 1P or 2P calibration, DOR, return spring, accuracy, linearity, hysteresis requirements)

Personal flexibility to travel world-wide, Excellent communications within multi-cultural team.
• Able to form personal relations which facilitate effective virtual meetings (telecons and Net Meetings)
• Seeks out information and techniques from outside his own team (literature, industry, universities, internet)
• Strong understanding of process/technology development and industrialization processes
• Strong problem solving abilities
