Environmental and Energy Solution (E&ES) is a strategic business unit in Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) with an annual turnover of $1.2B. E&ES provides integrated product solutions in heating and heating processes, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration, air purification, zoning, humidification, air conditioning, water controls and processes, electrical devices and systems, lighting control, switches, sensors and controllers. Our technologies are found in more than 150 million homes, 10 million buildings, and a multitude of manufacturing plants around the world. Customers include original equipment manufacturers, commercial, homeowners, contractors, retail, trade building managers, consulting engineers and distributors. E&ES utilizes a multi brand/multi channel strategy to reach tens of thousands of customers.
The Residential Combustion line of business in Europe searches for a Strategic Marketing Manager to lead the strategic marketing process (STRAP). This includes marketing sizing for the core business and adjacent markets. He/she will also be responsible for market segmentation and conclude product strategies to maximize value capture in close collaboration with product marketing leaders. The role comprises also the analysis of competitor strategies and market trends, scouting of targets for mergers & acquisitions and drive of potential candidates to the next execution level partnering with business development.

Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic marketing process (STRAP) including marketing sizing for the core / far core business and adjacent markets. Lead market segmentation and conclude product strategies to maximize value capture in close collaboration with product marketing leaders. Analyze competitor strategies and market trends. Scout targets for mergers & acquisitions and drive potential candidates to the next execution level partnering with business development.
Lead STRAP partnering with stakeholders from the business, finance and key functional leaders to prepare the path for aligned execution. Develop white space growth ideas and devise breakthrough strategies. Build up solid market intelligence to enable sound market forecasting, anticipate trends and growth drivers. Assess opportunities for market entry. Monitor competitor activities and conclude strategic and tactical action planning to drive growth and market share gain. Lead strategic marketing focussing on segmentation, VOC and value capture for key NPI programs. Identify value proposition items leveraging HON's capabilities of generating a connected offering across the entire portfolio for residential target segments. Drive the creation a business model combining HON's business model of selling hardware with a software as a service business.
Establish a strategic metric dashboard and drive the execution of strategic initiatives. Ensure ongoing metric tracking and set-up a robust MOS to continuously align the business and functions on rigor implementation of breakthrough strategies. Drive portfolio reviews to ensure full alignment of portfolio strategies with resource allocations in key functions including SIOP, RnD, PMO and sales. Act as single point of expertise in pricing and drive maximization of value capture based on segmentation, Channel Marketing and product / life-cycle management.
Lead government relations across the (Sub)-businesses and functions to identify legislative trends and influence policy setting to gain competitive advantage with HON's value offer. Lead reviews with delegates in government bodies and associations and drive action planning and execution via action rail maintenance.

Personality requirements and skills

Degree (preferably Master) in economics or industrial engineering
Sound expertise in Strategic Marketing Skills and sound business accumen.
Strong experience in product portfolio management in the E&ES industry or adjacency. Solid understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing and channel management.
