Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

*SW / Systems Engineer for Railway Safety Systems - Railway Radar Scanner and Platform Track Intrusion Detection System.
*Participate in project planning phase, provide estimates and report status.
*Perform embedded / application software (e.g. C, C++, C#, Matlab):
*Requirements and architecture modification / creation.
*Code modification / creation (includes debugging and troubleshooting).
*Test cases, procedures, and scripts modification / creation.
*Tests execution (both informal and formal runs).
*Documentation creation.
*Certification support.
*Development / test environment setup.
*Ensure assigned technical tasks are completed on-time and within given requirements.
*Actively identify new technological opportunities that will help achieve incremental or step change improvements.

Requirements:
* Minimum Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent.
* Experience with embedded / application software development (e.g. C, C++, C#, Matlab) and design / test automation.
*Knowledge of software development processes and project planning is a plus.
* Experience in real-time embedded software.
* Knowledge of safety SW standards including EN/IEC61508 or RTCA DO-178B is a big plus.
* Familiarity of software design tools, scripting languages, configuration managements tools is a also plus.
*Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python) is a plus.
*Excellent command of English language.
*Capability and willingness to periodically travel (approximately 10% of your time).
*Support the business team occasionally in customer discussions world wide.
