Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

*Complete SW design and analysis activities for Autopilot, ADHRS, KI300 and variety of aircraft software for GA avionincs market while meeting schedule commitments.
*Participate and lead technical design reviews, matrix collection and provide technical program status.
*Provide support to customers, investigate issues and failures, identify root causes and permanent corrective action.
*Provide technical guidance to software development team to ensure technical and program results; identify and remove barriers to success.
*Assist and/or lead software engineers across BK organization, to improve the overall knowledge base for smooth project execution.
Requirements:
*Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
*A strong technical and some leadership background with demonstrated experience in leading systems Engineering.
*Applicable systems design experience, including one or more Aeronautical technical areas of expertise, i.e. FC, AHRS and AP development.
*Knowledge of system/software development processes and standards or familiar with ARP4754 and DO-178B. Demonstrated ability to manage and translate high-level systems requirements to lower-level systems and software requirements.
*Knowledge of avionics systems, Matlab and Simuling is a requirement; GA/Avionics systems or domain expertise is a plus.
*Ability to lead small cross-functional teams, mentor lower-level Engineers, and perform complex technical tasks when needed.
*Ability to drive consistent and efficient systems Engineering processes is required.
*Strong interpersonal, communication, teaming, customer interaction, and team leadership abilities. Applicant must be able to work with cross-functional engineers (integration, verification, software, systems) in a team environment.
*Ability to develop complex simulation and control analysis, systems engineering test facilities, electronic test equipment, and computer operation related to GA/BK.
