Product Design Engineer I
The Engineer will support Mechanical Systems, Structures and Dynamics (MSSD) gas turbine engine components on the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Support Team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analysis of discrepant hardware to make Engineering recommendations to Materials Review Board (MRB), First Article Inspection (FAI) resolution, substantiation testing, Engineering assessments for supplier transitions and repositions, perform design reviews, and implementation of strategic projects to reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ).
• Develops knowledge in engineering disciplines and processes and desires to learn new analysis tools and techniques.
• Productively supports Technical Excellence Teams (TET) to develop and define engineering criteria, guidelines, and practices.
• Effectively documents analysis and technical data in engineering reports.
• Actively supports team to deliver department goals and customer needs.
• Effectively interacts with inter-departmental teams, global sites, manufacturing personnel, suppliers, customers, and subcontractors.
• Applies well-established technical methodologies and practices.
