Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

* Design of electronic circuits for Intelligent Hearing systems using 8 or 16-bit microprocessors (Atmel, TI, Freescale), switched-mode power supplies, filters, analog and digital I/O.
* Design of power supplies, communication interfaces, controllers, sensor interfaces
* Focus on the highest quality and product standards, electrical safety, EMC and producibility.
* Coordinate the execution of prototypes, evaluate the testing results and tune product performance accordingly
* Introduce new technologies, methodologies, suppliers and/or innovation
* Work closely with Design Engineers and other function groups across the globe.
* Support the drive of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodology and process capability

Qualifications:
* Master Degree in Electronics Engineering is required
* Previous work experience in design of electrical and electronic products and knowledge of design of electronic devices related to control systems, measuring or automation
* Very good knowledge of electronic circuits (power supplies, amplifiers, electrical filters, (high speed) microcontrollers, RF and peripherals)
* Very good knowledge of electronic components (including microcontrollers and any type of memory)
* Experience of design for manufacture, design for test, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), as well as structured quality and design methodologies such as DFSS advantage
* Knowledge and experience with communication systems (wireless and wired like ZigBee, Bluetooth, LON, RS-422, Ethernet, etc.) is a big advantage
