Job description, responsibilities and duties

We currently have an open position for a Technical Program Manager to join our growing connected solutions team. This person will report into our Program Management Office and will be based in Brno. The connected solutions team is a global engineering team that provides residential, mobile and web based product solutions that connect consumers with their properties remotely for the energy and utility markets.

• Direct all phases of programs from inception through market launch
• Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of programs or subsystems of major programs
• Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes
• Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
• Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule and technical performance
• Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions
• Communicate directly with customers to align timing plans, share schedule risk information, and escalate critical issues
• Lead the assessment of new product opportunities, consolidating technical, resource, cost and planning data
• Plan new product launches and running changes across a portfolio of products in a system
• Co-ordinate the supply-chain from supplier to customer through start of production

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
• Program management experience; managing complex projects or multiple projects combined into a program with demonstrated success
• Experience with technical product development
• Must have managed the development of one or more of the following - consumer electronics, mobile applications, software as service (SaaS).
