Sr. Strategic Buyer EMEA – Chemicals

Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies is a global leader in providing customers with high-performance specialty materials, including fluorine products; specialty films and additives; advanced fibers and composites; intermediates; specialty chemicals; electronic materials and chemicals; and technologies and materials for petroleum refining. With research and development facilities around the world, including labs in Germany, New York, California and Shanghai, Honeywell Specialty Materials is on the cutting edge in several sectors of the chemical and high-performance materials industry.

We are looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer for Performance Materials and Technologies sites located in Germany and Belgium. You can be based either in Prague, Poland or Romania.

Responsibilities:
- Active search and optimization of chemicals and raw materials suppliers mainly in Eastern Europe
- Negotiation and closing of contracts (optimizing price, payment terms, inventory, supply-chain, process cost, risk management, and legal compliance aspects)
- Development and implementation of innovative sourcing/contracting/supply strategies
- Complaint management of all products/suppliers covered
- Supplier evaluation, audits and development
- Increase and development of purchasing spend via eAuctions
- Execution of the purchasing agency authority
- Initiation and leadership of cross functional projects (process changes, make or buy considerations, inventory reductions, Criticality Grid, Cycle Time reduction, etc.)

Requirements:
- Education in chemistry/chemical engineering is a plus but not must
- Experience in procurement position within chemicals, pharmaceutical, fine chemicals or paints industry
- Proven knowledge of the relevant purchasing markets
- English required, German is a big plus
- Willingness to travel to Honeywell sites (Germany, Belgium) and suppliers site (Eastern Europe) up to 40%
