Job description, responsibilities and duties
In charge of specifying, designing and testing new product
concepts that meet customer performance and reliability
targets
•Permanently partner with designers, structural mechanics
experts, test engineers, materials experts, manufacturing
experts, quality experts.
•Drive technically and functionally key tasks from product
design to product qualification
•Accountable for product definition, product performance,
reliability and quality of design and specifications of the
components and sub systems you. For this purpose you
work with modern reliability and mechanical engineering
simulation tools.
•Bring your product expertise to support our customer teams
for applications launch and early business development for
critical business win.
•Permanently document your results and circulate them
to your peers for review and record in our documentation
system (efficient knowledge sharing within the team).
•Evaluate and recommend technical solutions based on
standard or accepted technical best practice
•Apply advanced and/or new techniques to solve problems
having multiple variables.
•Plan projects and work within the given constraints.
Qualifications:
•The engineer is expected to concurrently manage multiple
tasks and semi-independently plan activities and schedules.
•Experience working directly with customers is important.
•CAD tools, Windows OS and Microsoft Office general
knowledge.
•Must be a strong communicator, proficient in English, both
speaking and writing.
•Ability to concurrently manage multiple tasks and plan
activities and schedules.
•Fundamental knowledge in mechanical and aerodynamic
design of turbochargers.
•Fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engines.
•Basic mechanical “hands-on” ability.
•Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communications.
