Job description, responsibilities and duties

General management and organization development:

• Communicate and implement IT strategy to ensure local awareness and success
• Lead a small IT team with different targets (production support, office and application support)
• Solid relationship with IT functions in order to successfully integrate and implement worldwide initiatives
• Works closely with Honeywell Turbo Technologies Sites Leader to align the local business strategy with the global TS one and implement global IT programs;
• Meeting all metric targets including schedule fidelity, productivity, costs and quality.
• Ensure continuous improvement in IT systems.
• Support Honeywell Operating System through IT technologies.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Skills and Knowledge Required
• General knowledge/experience in IT including Applications, Infrastructure and Data management
• Experience with application development/support welcome
• Good Leadership skills
• Knowledge of Honeywell Operating System principles as an advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups and work with all levels of internal and external customers
• Proactive leader with the ability to work effectively across all levels and functions within the business
• Strong supervisory skills including the ability to coach, assess, evaluate, motivate, develop and empower others
• Project management knowledge/experience (PMI/IPMA) welcome
• Create and innovative; able to identify, recommend and implement process improvements
• Strong oral and written communication skills and proven presentation skills
• Global mindset and ability to operate in a multicultural environment
• Works independently and easily adapts to change
• Language: fluent English and Slovak.

Experience and Education Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields and a minimum of 3 years directly related experience preferably in progressively responsible positions.
• In lieu of degree, 5 years of directly related experience which yields an equivalent level of knowledge and abilities
• Experience in industrial environment preferred;

Other
• Travel: Less Frequency, except in the initial phase where required
