Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Contribute to identify CAPEX projects to improve plant performance; specify, coordinate, plan and manage them within the quality required, budget limits and time frame agreed. Analyse variances and define actions to improve the CAPEX management process.

  • Collect project requirements from internal stakeholders and detail requests for approval. Follow-up the approval process and ensure that local authorities are providing the needed permits. Participate to suppliers’ selection.

  • Plan projects execution and consolidate CAPEX needs for approved projects. Together with plant controllers, forecasts cash outflows and monitor costs incurred. Take actions to ensure the respect of quality, costs and time frame agreed.

  • Secures correct cost allocation related to Cost Center structure and policy; Executes activation protocols in time; Secures documentation compliant with legal requirements

  • Ensure internal and external standards, processes and relevant regulations are in place. Optimize the internal processes and structures.

  • Guarantee compliance with OH&S and environment policies for the personnel (internal or external) involved in projects. Ensure cleanliness while projects run.

  • Cooperate with relevant stakeholder to identify new techniques and/or technologies to optimize costs and to improve productivity of the installed equipment.

  • Inform and motivate project managers, ensure their availability and performance according to plant needs. Promote their professional development through coaching, individual development plans and training.

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

University degree in engineering or equivalent education

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Driving licence

B

Number of years of experience

5

Personality requirements and skills

  • 5 years experience with managing projects for heavy industry or in an engineering company
  • good understanding of project costing structure
  • knowledge of cement manufacturing processes is a benefit
  • excellent written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to work independetly and under pressure
