SUCCESS PROFILE

Due to changing customer requirements for increasingly complex products, HOERBIGER Compression Technology's sales and service organization needs to improve its market approach, an effort that will be led by sales. In three years, sales and service will have moved away from parts sales and toward the creation and delivery of product solutions in alignment with the company's strategy. The Sales Engineer will contribute to these this by driving the process around the front end of the customer experience to ensure we fully understand our customers’ businesses, how they make money and how we can deliver added value to them.

GOALS

Working in partnership with the broader sales team and country sales manager, the Sales Engineer will execute the new sales strategy within the sales region while also serving as a role model in living the HOERBIGER values of courage, pioneering spirit, fairness and closeness. He or she will ensure we deliver to our fullest potential by resolving customer needs and issues, work across the organization to create added value for customers and effectively manage territory and the opportunity. The individual in this position will also deliver opportunities in line with company strategy and achieve sales targets.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for meeting sales targets in terms of volume and profitability as well as for preparing account plans, writing visit reports and expanding the customer base. Among other duties, he or she will develop and manage a strong order profile and opportunity funnel from assigned accounts, accurately maintain the sales funnel to support the sales forecast and identify and support HOERBIGER operations and customers with clear communication and relationship management. Working closely with branch staff, the person in this role will also assist in planning, forecasting and customer problem solving.
