Global Engineering & Technical Consulting (GE&TC) is an organization within HPE which delivers pre-sales, consulting and engineering services for the Enterprise Services customers in HPE. GE&TC takes accountability for infrastructure design and build, develops architecture, strategy and roadmaps, performs IT workload migration and leads infrastructure deployments.

We are currently looking for Famework Design Engineer, who will be responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design. Occasionally responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions. Understands a broad spectrum of HPE technology in order to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements:
· Often leads small to medium technical projects. Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer nominated representatives. Liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriate.
· Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment. Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments.
· Provides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement.
· Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment.
· Communicates across client community, and is viewed as adding value. Demonstrates execution of the HP strategy.
· Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learning’s are documented and shared. Role models Focuses on single customer. Solves diverse and complex. May lead a project team.

Personality requirements and skills

Education and Experience Required:

5+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total).

Essential Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Expert in Microsoft SCCM 2007 or 2012
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience of at least 5 years
• Strong technical background and expertise in his/her main technology and at least working knowledge for all related technologies.
• Process expertise around server management, HP tools, vendor specific management tools
• Process expertise around client management, software distribution and patch management
• Basic understanding of project management methodologies
• Experience in the IT Outsourcing Services, IT Service Management and/or support industry
• Ability to lead small teams and work in a virtual ones
• Good consulting skills: presentation, communication and interpersonal. Ability to debate, dialogue, negotiate, influence and work with conflicts of interest creatively, collaboratively, and constructively
• Independent and pro-active attitude
• Excellent problem-solving and technical abilities.
• Methodical and orderly, with attention to detail required
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of architectural design and methodologies such as HP GM, ITSA, TOGAF
• Previous experience in consultancy or at a minimum in a customer-facing capacity
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Desirable skills and knowledge
• Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in architecting role or similar
• ITIL/ITSM Certification
• Experience in quality control, customer standards definition, and process design improvement
• Experience with large companies and mass rollouts
• Experience in MS Active Directory, GPOs, scripting
• Experience in software lifecycle, distribution and patch management, OS deployment
• Experience with virtualization solutions from Microsoft, VMware and/or Citrix.
• Software development experience and skills
• Fluency in other major European languages
