One of the key offerings within HPE Cloud Solutions is the Enterprise Services (ES) Helion Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).You'll be part of the VPC Service Engineering team.

Helion VPC Monitoring Engineer is a subject matter expert in the area of Monitoring, and HP Operations Manager. He/she ensures the successful introduction of monitoring solutions to support new VPC offerings. He/she works in close relationship with the HMCO delivery team, other engineers within the VPC Engineering team and the ECS Architecture / Development team to achieve this.

Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility, in collaboration with VPC Architecture, VPC R&D & VPC Delivery teams is to insure that we provide end to end reporting solutions, external and internal facing, on every aspect of the Helion VPC services, including
• Monitoring requirements definition in collaboration with delivery and subject matter experts
• Define / develop if needed adequate monitoring solution, fitting with our standard monitoring architecture , based on HP Operations Manager
• Drive validation of the solution with the different stakeholders
• Define procedures for deployment and on-going operations of the monitoring solution in productive environments
• Act as L4 support for the solution

Scope of activities includes:
• Requirements collection & understanding, requiring collaboration with VPC Service Offering Management and VPC Delivery
• End to end solution design in collaboration with VPC architecture
• Data collection development if needed
• Specifications of enhancements and additions to the monitoring infrastructure
• Follow up of / coordination of development teams deliverables
• Validation of the end to end report production process
• Handover of the developed solution to support teams

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Experience
• 7-10 years of experience in an IT or Services environment with a broad set of technologies and products like system/network administration, operations management, databases, Web services, data center setup
• A least 5 years of experience in Monitoring/Event management space, including a proven track of record with the HP Operations Manager tools family (OML / OMU)

Skills Required (Must):
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-site environment
• Autonomy, ability to drive his deliverables in an autonomous fashion
• English language – proficiency required
• Expert knowledge with HP Operations Manager Unix or Linux - both from an Engineering (templates development, environment customization) and Operations perspective
• Knowledge of additional HP Software monitoring/reporting tools such as HP SiteScope, BSM, OMx, NNM
• Windows and Unix/Linux admin knowledge
• Familiarity with network concepts (routing, firewall)
• Deep knowledge of outsourcing and ITIL processes (especially Incident, Change management process)
• Technical Documentation writing skills

Skills Required (High Want):
• Knowledge of HP ESM/SRA (including HP Service Manager, Jet, ESL)
• Knowledge of Open Source/cloud oriented monitoring tools (such as Nagios)

Education
• Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, Electrical engineering or equivalent experience is required
• ITIL foundation certificate
