Job description, responsibilities and duties

As a Localization Project Manager the employee uses his knowledge and skills to plan, manage and deliver internal and external customer’s projects for HP Application Content and Globalization (HP ACG) organization.

As a part of localization project management activities he/she should manage partners to implement solution, manage budgets and work in close partnership with all partners involved. He/she is expected to keep him/her-self up to date with the latest localization technology and industry development and interact with colleagues and customers across the world while following the processes of service delivery as defined for the particular account/customer.

This is a customer-facing position.

Responsibilities:

Leading complex, technical localization projects for external business partners or customers of the company
In charge of analysis, quotation and organization of new projects, as well as implementation from start to finish
Assist in planning new project launches by creating project localization kits
Acting as a consultant for the customers regarding their needs around localization, knowing their environment in order to propose best solutions, coming up with innovating ideas
Dealing with multiple parties, being the primary interface between the customers and the vendors
Evaluation and management of all localization suppliers/vendors
Delivery management: Being responsible for customer satisfaction, assuring on-time, on-budget delivery at the level of quality expected by the customer
Being responsible for project profitability and measurement of success, including building and/or maintaining client relationship
Conducting regular status meetings with all stakeholders, providing overview of project status, issues and keeping the stakeholders’ needs and requirements continuously in view
Making sure the given industry quality standards are met

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

2-4 years experiences working in localization/translation environment
At least Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Economics, Business Engineering (computer science, technical writing, etc), IT or equivalent, can be also a linguistic education
Project management at least 2 years of experience
Experience with Localization Tools (Idiom, Trados, WorldServer, other Translation Management Systems, Machine Translation)
Proficiency in using Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook
Experience with preparing and performing presentations for giving guidance and instructions
Fluent in spoken and written English

Nice to have:

Working experience with managing localization agencies or individual translators
PMP certification
Engineering experience on localization projects
Other than Slovak or English language skill
