EG Global Supply Chain Overview
The Enterprise Group (EG) supply Chain organization, as part of HP, is counted as one of the largest in the world in terms of revenue, network and spend. Supply chain enables delivery and manufacture of a full portfolio of standards-based, integrated products and services developed specifically to solve the complexities of the extended enterprise and deliver a Converged Infrastructure of servers, storage and networking. The Supply Chain organization balances volume and complexity across HP owned, and partner factories and suppliers, to bring advanced technology solutions such as servers, storage and networking together into one HP Converged Infrastructure.
Global Supply Chain organization supports the HP business by delivering products and services to customer expectation, allowing HP to attain revenue and profit targets. Within this dynamic global environment Planning is there to ensure demand is accurately forecast and product supply is positioned to ensure material availability in support of customer orders to the agreed service levels.
Scope of activities
• Participates as a member of development team.
• Completes development of applications and systems with designs prepared by more senior developers.
• Participates in code reviews. Prepares and executes application tests.
• Applies growing technical knowledge to maintain a technology area (e.g. Web-site Development).
• May perform application and system design.
• Applies HP and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate complexity.
• Performs work assigned by others.
• Provides time / resource estimates for assigned tasks.
• Accountable for own work.

Education and Experience Required:
• Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 4 years of related experience or a Master's degree and up to two years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Typically 4 or more years proven experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) .NET, JavaScript, C#/VB.Net
• High level understanding of RDBMS databases such as SQL Server and Database Administration
• Experience with modern software design and development methodologies, and modern SCM (software configuration management)
• Experience with testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing Methodologies
• Experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., MS Visual Studio)
• Experience with 3rd party technologies (e.g., EXT.NET is a plus)
• Experience developing business intelligence reporting using SAP Crystal Reports, SQL Reporting, Tibco Spotfire, QlikView, or other 3rd party solutions
• Previous experience supporting system of record applications such as SAP within supply chain organizations such as procurement, planning, forecasting, finance or inventory management is a plus
• Understanding of quality and security standards
• Good verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English language
