Position overview:
The HELION VPC SAP Engineer is focused on the technical design, support, engineering and job 1 of the SAP service/area.
The successful candidate will join the HELION VPC Service Engineering Applications team working on the latest Helion VPC Offerings.
The focus of this team is to engineer solutions primarily for the HPE HELION VPC product Offering and deliver these solutions and features as part of the VPC Release Cycle.
The product roadmap and feature set is defined by the VPC Offering Management team and the HELION VPC Engineer will work closely with Offering Management and Architecture to scope requirements for the engineered solution.
Description:
Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution for a cloud component, in accordance with an agreed technical design. Understands a broad spectrum of HP cloud technology in order to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements. Leads small to medium technical projects. Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Managers, offering managers, and architects. Liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriate.
Key responsibilities:
• Provides guidance on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments
• Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment
• Provides planning and design support for the development of cloud architectures that will be implemented
• Executes job 1 related tasks in accordance to a project plan
• Solves diverse and complex problem
• Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learning’s are documented and shared

• Master degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering or equivalent experience is required
• At least 5 years of experience in IT environment
• Significant experience and working knowledge of the tasks necessary to keep the systems / applications in the assigned area running stable, secure and performing well
• Good communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• Ability to assimilate multiple technologies / service requirements into a complete service design
• Critical thinking and creativity in thought process as well as problem solving situations, consulting skills, leadership qualities, credibility, self-confidence
• Works well under high pressure, high demand environment with cross-cultural, cross-geographical collaboration
• Should have a proven track record of influencing others and be able to work with minimal guidance
• ITIL Foundation certificate is an advantage
• Project management skills are an advantage

SAP Cloud Engineer – specific skills:
• Min. 8-10 years of SAP expertise, including installation, patching, BUR of multiple SAP applications, supporting, and maintaining a complex SAP landscape.
• Experience 1-2 years with SAP LVM or similar SAP automation tools is a plus
• Min. 6 years of SAP HA solutions experience (cluster, dual DC, etc.)
• Min. 6 years of experience with HP Proliant/Itanium Server/Blade usage for SAP
• Min. 6 years of SAP operations and management experience
• Min. 5 years of experience with SAP HANA
• Min. 5 year of SAP setup, patching and incident automation experience
• Min. 5 year of SAP virtualization experience
• Min. 5 year experience in SAP sizing, architecture design and performance tuning
• Knowledge of licensing requirements for SAP and required 3rd party licenses
• Trained in SAP setup, administration, performance management, virtualization
• Technical expertise on SAP technical area (Solution Manager, Portal, CRM and MDM etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Netweaver/Basis module
• Design of IT infrastructure based on SAP NetWeaver
• Knowledge and project experience of both ABAP and Java stack
• Knowledge of VMWare is an advantage
• SAP certificates are an advantage
• Experienced with supporting ABAP and Java environments
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager
• Have installed and configured TDMS to refresh testing, training and other environments preferably in HCM environment
