Job description, responsibilities and duties

This Project Manager will be participating on Freelancer Program management. This will involve his/her strong engagement on freelancers/partners selection as well as performing and managing evaluation of translation test, price negotiation, etc.
This PM will implement and maintain setup o processes for new partners and freelancers and will also measure and manage their performance.
His/her role will be also accommodating the needs of Localisation PMs, who will need smooth cooperation with the freelancers to ensure their high quality deliverables and minimizing possible issues.
Goal of this role is to setup a stable Freelancer Pool and work on its constant maintaining, with well established processes and working freelancer model in order to achieve high quality localisation deliverables and cost savings.

Responsibilities:
-Actively participate on freelancers/partners selection
-Perform and manage evaluation of translation test, price negotiation, etc.
-Identify, implement and maintain setup processes for new partners and freelancers
-Measure and manage freelancers’ performance, identify best tracking system, ensure all guidelines are followed
-Collaborate with all Localisation PMs
-Enhance Freelancer Program by proposing steps for reaching higher effectiveness and productivity
-Leading projects (project: Freelancer Program) for HP internal and external business partners and customers
-Providing analysis, project objectives identification, project planning, project specification, risk assessment and the full scope of project management tasks as well as of change implementation from start to finish
-Establishing clear ownership of project tasks, ensuring that project team members have the needed tools
-Tracking progress and reviewing project tasks to make sure deadlines are met appropriately
-Making sure the given industry quality standards are met
-Delivery management: assuring on-time, on-budget delivery at the level of quality expected/requested by the customer
-Building and/or maintaining client relationships
-Acting as a consultant regarding customers’ needs, knowing their environment in order to propose effective customized solutions and so grow the HP portfolio

Information about the selection process

2-4 years experiences working in localization/translation environment
At least Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Economics, Business Engineering (computer science, technical writing, etc), IT or equivalent, can be also a linguistic education
Project management skills (at least 2 years experience)
Knowledge management skills: creation and re-use of intellectual capital
Proficiency in using Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook
Experience with preparing and performing presentations for giving guidance and instructions
Fluent in spoken and written English
Nice to have:
Working experience with managing localisation agencies or individual translators
PMP certification
Experience with Localisation Tools (Idiom, Trados, WorldServer, other Translation Management Systems)
Fluency in other than Slovak or English language
Previous working experience as a translator freelancer is welcome
