During the last few years, Apps GD (Applications Services Global Delivery) has positioned itself as one of the global players in the outsourcing market. This dynamic and growing market still offers many challenging opportunities for motivated Engineers for the Bratislava Center. One of the essential success factors is the availability of excellent technical solutions and professional delivery of support and services
Key responsibilities:
• Participates as a member of a team providing a development of new and maintenance of existing features of software applications
• May lead and manage technical provisions of a small team (2-4 people)
• Applies either broad or in-depth knowledge in one or more software development technologies
• Applies HP and 3rd party frameworks, tools and solutions
• Completes a design of software components and applications to enable implementation
• Implements a code, using industry-standard development environment
• Fixes defects in testing and maintenance phases.
• Participates in code reviews and may lead code reviews
• Designs, prepares and executes unit (module) tests.
• Provides effort estimates for assigned tasks
• May provide mentoring and guidance to junior developers, may lead a small team of developers
• Communicates effectively with all stakeholders, e.g. project manager, architect, testing people
• Usually participates in a technology communities and works towards reuse and knowledge sharing

Education and Experience Required:
• Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
Capabilities expected:
• Understanding of modern software design and development methodologies
• Understanding and usage of modern software configuration management.
• Practical experience with integrated development tools, e.g. eclipse, visual studio
• Awareness of software design patterns
• Practical experience with writing code using object-oriented languages (C# or C++)
• .NET Framework
• Ability to create webservices in .net + MS Communication Foundation
• Ability to consistently apply quality standards by following design and coding guidelines and reviewing the code. Is aware of the value of code review. Knowledge of some platforms to support the code reviews.
• Is aware of the value of the validation in unit test on the overall quality level and knows and uses standard frameworks for unit test and actively uses those
• Is able to read and understand existing technical documentation and provide changes to it
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• English language written and spoken fluently
• German language written and spoken at intermediate level at least

• Practical experience with software development in one or more full release project life cycles.
• Understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, etc., based on project domain.
• Using Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows Presentation Foundation frameworks

• Awareness and usage of software design modeling methodologies, techniques and tools (UML, BPMN)
• Practical experience with some integrated software build, release and deployment systems
• Basic understanding of testing types, methodologies and tools
