Job Purpose

Perform RTR processes which include completing posting sheets or pre-posting for VAT adjustments and other non-rule based journal entries, check and solve issues in GL postings and reviewing line items in the general ledger. Perform checks over fixed assets management processes in co-operation with shared service center in Poland including review of FA forms. Support shared service center in process of VAT claims from abroad and administration over withholding tax, lotteries and ERP. Ensure independent check over statistical reporting process /ensure corrections if neeed /escalate issues. Support Tax specialist in assigned activities: e.g. excise tax for spirits, preparation of documents for tax controls, VAT ledger reporting, regular review of assigned GL accounts reconciliation, transfer price documentation

Key Responsibilities

o Determine and complete non-rule based entries, determine and complete GL posting templates
o Review GL reconciliation and line items in General Ledger and determine and perform corrective actions
o VAT - calculate and complete posting sheets for VAT adjustments, prepare supporting documentation for tax controls, VAT ledger reporting /monthly checks, corrections.
o Preparation of excise tax documentation for mineral oils and spirits = CIDER related aromas /registrations, guaranteees, reporting, monthly tax declarations, payments, evidence
o Ensure monthly reporting for excise tax for spirits
o Preparation of documentation related to exports of beer and cider to EU/outside of EU /for VAT purpose (incl. invoices, delivery notes, CMRs)
o Prepare Transfer pricing documentation - based on quidance from Tax specialist or in coordination with Global Transfer pricing team
o Support of Tax Specialist in case of local tax controls /cross checks for VAT, spirits for our customers, vendors - preparation of docs (delivery notes, invoices, report, coordination with HSD, purchasing of external portfolio..)
o Cooperate with shared service center on process of transferred tax activities: VAT claims from abroad, withholding tax process, over lotteries (prepare documentation for lotteries for tax controls)
o Regularly review tax master data in SAP system for accuracy
o OpCo main point of contact for fixed assets issues incl. independent checks of fixed assets forms, depreciation parameters in SAP, support during month end closing activities
o Support internal/external audits ( Financial, Operations) and remediate any audit issue related to the process
o Support RTR in statutory reporting (review of notes, correction of GL accounts, review of P/L accounts from tax perspective..etc)
o Co-ordinate fixed assets stock-taking process, support Company stock count process and result posting
o Develop and maintain successful working relationships with suppliers, employees, shared service center and other key stakeholders
o Ensure compliance with OpCo, local, Global and shared service center guidelines, policies and regulations for areas including Tax, Record to Report etc

Required Employee Profile

  • University degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Tax
  • Intermediate (B1) level of english
  • Good understanding of ERP Accounting Systems (SAP - specially modules - FI, MM, AM)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages /Excel, Word
  • Working knowledge with tax electronic interface
  • 5 years work experience
