Senior Systems Administrator (Windows)

Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation and administration of the whole server environment.
Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own and modify as appropriate system configuration settings; establish best practices and maintenance standards for assigned systems
- Performs troubleshooting –leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel.
- Enterprise Windows Active Directory administration
- Function as a subject matter expert for architecture, performance tuning, capacity planning, and design of new and upcoming technologies
- Establishes, maintains and manages users accounts.
- Proactively monitoring, reporting, and management of the whole server environment on a day-to-day basis.
- Applying enhancements and/or fixes as necessary to maintain system performance and meet security standards.
- Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways to take advantage of new technology.
