Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee our company's supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a sourcing strategy and optimizing logistic flows within the company to maintain control over inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop a Sourcing Strategy: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that can meet the company's requirements for product/service quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery schedules. Look for synergies over the different divisions of the Business Unit. Negotiate contracts and establish strategic relationships with key suppliers.
2. Optimize Logistic Flows: Design and implement processes and systems to optimize product flow from suppliers through our international divisions in Belgium, Slovakia, France, America, India, and Australia. This includes managing import/export logistics and compliance with local and international regulations.
3. Inventory Management: Develop and implement strategies for keeping inventory levels under control while ensuring the availability of products to meet customer demand. This includes forecasting demand, planning inventory levels, and managing safety stock levels.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Sales, Production, and Finance to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with business objectives.
5. Continuous Improvement: Monitor supply chain performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
