Job description, responsibilities and duties

As a SAP Basis Consultant / Project Engineer you will:
• Provide technical support and leadership in a complex mission critical SAP environment.
• Ensure components supported are maintained, optimized and used effectively.
• Work with other domains to establish implementation plans for changes, projects and backup and recovery.
• Be involved in full cycle development, deployment to go-live.
• Manage/consult on the architecture and design of hardware and software within the client(s) environment.
• Provide solution options and create high availability designs.
• Forecast technology requirements based on client 's needs.
• Provide SAP expertise on the customer engagement team. Provide mission critical consulting services.
• Develop, mature and ensure compliance of technology standards and solutions.
• Map customer requirements to specifications.

Skills	Language skills: English - advanced Computer skills - user: SAP - expert UNIX/Linux - advanced Computer skills - programmer: Oracle Database - advanced Computer skills - administrator: Oracle Database administration - advanced UNIX/Linux administration - advanced
Personality requirements and skills	• Post-secondary education in Information Systems or related field of studies. • Experience and knowledge includes SAP R/3 basis administration including system back-up/recovery, transport management system and system monitoring. • Thorough understanding of system operating environments and database management including UNIX, NT, TCP/IP and ORACLE. • Good understanding and knowledge of one or several of the following: BW, ITS, APO liveCache, Workplace and EBP. • Experience formulating overall strategies and operational solution design and strategic and tactical planning process. • Experience with internal and external partners. Professional verbal and written communication skills. • Strong consulting skills. • Leadership qualities: integrity, attention to detail, deadline oriented, goal oriented and a motivator. • Ability to interface with all levels of staff. • Ability to interface with all levels in clients organization.
