Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Senior Technical Engineer (Admin/Head of Infrastructure) is the key responsible for setting up and optimizing the new infrastructure. On-going, ensuring that our client's infrastructure and dependency systems are operational 24/7.

- Oversee set up of new infrastructure and manage daily operations (HQ Ops + Infrastructure & Systems/DB Monitoriing) and ensure well manage processes minimize business risks.
- Ensure standards and architecture are followed and update according to internal & market developments/needs.
- Develop and maintain the HW, SW, Network, Security Infrastructure (web shop, ERP, 3rd party solutions and integrations and error reporting services).
- Coordinate and manage necessary resources for stable systems at acceptable risk levels.
- Own the risk strategy - avoidance, mitigate, transfer, accept
- Own the ICT strategy and roadmap; drive decisions in timely manner to deliver best value to company
- Organize and manage a team of 3-5 IT professionals
- Negiotate and manage 3rd party deliveries; address issues (internal and external) and ensure rapid restoration of critical services.

- Ensure infrastructure services are delivered within agreed budgets and meeting SLAs
- Deliver strategic cost positions on new services and business infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure the resource dimension of the infrastructure is optimized and well organized.
- Infrastructure is available 24/7
- Financial dimension (budget)
- Roadmap alignment is fully supported; current and to-be systems are stable and scaleable.

Requirements for the employee

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

- Experienced in managing complex infrastructure and systems (ERP systems, remote infrastructure, cloud components) and technologies - Microsoft + OpenSource.
- Proven abiltiy to manage people across reporting lines
- Proven ability to manage risks (to business, to systems, to resources)
- Able to define and scope responsiblities and boundaries and manage stakeholders' expectations
- Able to manage 3rd parties ensuring external deliveries on time and to expected quality
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
- University degree, preferably MS of computer science
- 8+ years in similar role
- Minimum 3+ years hands-on experiece supporting infrastructure with Microsoft ERP, SQL, .NET and OpenSource technogies; ecommerce experience preferable.
- ITIL, PRINCE2/PMI Certification desirable
- MS Certification advantage (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator )
- Recognizes and solves problems quickly (pro-active hands-on solution delivery)
- Experience in working in virtual/remote teams
- Possess the necessary technical skills (solid knowledge of the platforms, software and technologies used by company).
