Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Head of Backend is the key responsible for ensuring our client's ERP and system dependencies are operational 24/7. Integrations are maintained and further developed according to agreed standards, responsive to business needs, with a well-managed change process and appropriate communications.

- Oversee daily operations and ensure well manage processes minimize business risks.
- Ensure standards and architecture are followed and update according to internal & market developments/needs.
- Develop and maintain the backend developement strategy (ERP, Logistics and Supplier integrations and reporting services, including HW/SW dimension)
- Coordinate and manage project resource allocation in agreement with customers (Business units) and management
- Organize and manage a team of 4-6 developers/IT experts
- Negiotate and manage 3rd party deliveries; address issues (internal and external) and drive solution acceptance.
- Own and communicate the Integrations roadmap and ERP maturity
- Integrations implementation - Supplier and Logistic, payments processes, etc.
- Business reporting process
- Change management
- Budgeting and reporting
- Standard development and release processes across backend
- Projects delivered on time (defect free)
- Team effeciency
- Systems availability - works jointly responsiblitity with Head of Infrastructure to ensure systems recovery and backup (DRM)
- Daily managing of projects, ensuring agreed time deliveries and quality.
- Manager also works on IT solutions ~30-50% (as Senior Developer)
- Deliver projects within defined budgets
- Manage 3rd parties within agreed budget
- Ensure that the resource dimension of the business is optimized and well organized.

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

- Proven ability to manage risks (to business, to project, to resources)
- Able to define and scope project boundaries and manage stakeholders' expectations
- Able to manage 3rd parties ensuring external deliveries on time and to expected quality
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
- University degree, preferably BS or MS of science or similar
- 5+ years in similar role
- PRINCE2 or PMI Certification desirable
- MS Certification advantage (e.g. Microsoft Certified Professional Developer)
- Experience in working in virtual/remote teams
- Possess the necessary technical skills (solid knowledge of the platforms, software and programs of company)
