Junior structural engineer for an international compan

Our client, the company Babcock & Wilcox Slovakia s.r.o. is a daughter company of Babcock & Wilcox Vølund - one of the world's most renowned companies within advanced and environmentally sound technologies for producing energy from waste and biomass. B&W Vølund opened the state-of-the-art engineering centre in Trenčín in 2015 where alltogether 40 - 50 experienced engineers and specialists will be located by the end of 2017. Chosen engineers will be involved in huge international projects in cooperation with their colleagues in Denmark, Sweden and UK.

Specifics of the role include:

- Detailing all parts of metal building systems, including structural steel
- Creating construction drawings using Tekla Structures SW
- Preparation of conceptual and outline designs for structural schemes
- Preparation of detailed design calculations to British Standards, Eurocodes and relevant design guidance notes
- Generating and verifying fabrication drawings and reports
- Generating and verifying bill of materials for field construction
- Designing and troubleshooting standardized steel framing conditions along with custom, project-specific requirements
- Ensuring a quality product by thorough contract and design coordination
- Day-to-day support to colleagues from other disciplines within the office

- Good communication skills in English – B2
- The position is for a junior engineer or even a master graduate
- Relevant university education is required
- Advanced level of static calculation software preferably SCIA Engineer
- Advanced level of AutoCad
- Experience with Tekla Structures is an advantage
- International orientation obtained from working or studying abroad
- Good interpersonal skills e.g. positive mindset
- Team player able to share information across the organization
