Data mining specialist (vba, sql)

We are currently looking for DATA MINING SPECIALIST (SQL) to join our clients team to work closely with their data scientists and clients business units to solve challenging data problems.

On this particular position you will be solving problems through the application of traditional statistics, predictive modelling, data mining, machine learning and data visualisation.

Responsibilities:

- Assess, source, collate and clean data from various structured and un structured sources
- Make sense of data and prepare it for analysis
- Provide on-going support to data scientists and business unit teams
- Helps to operationalize algorithms and innovations
- Support ad-hoc requests to support business decisions
- Work collaboratively with near shore analytical operations teams
- Ensure delivery of data related activity including campaigns and suppressions
- Quality review of work performed by others in the team

- University degree level
- 1 - 5 years experience in a technical data role
- Intermediate SAS programing ability - big advantage
- Ability to code in SQL, experience with MS SQL Server
- Familiarity with analytical data structures and modelling concepts
- Experience of Windows server, AIX/Linux OS
- Understanding of Data Cleaning techniques
- Competence with MS Office products
- Good experience with dashboarding, reporting and visualisation tools - advantage
- SAS Enterprise Guide - advantage
