MS SQL database administrator

Stable international company, operating all over world is looking for candite with complex knowledge within Microsoft technologies and Windows administration to fullfill the position of MS SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR.

The pupose of the position is development, technical architecture and support of global services on technologies including Active Directory, SQL, Systems Centre, Windows Infrastructure, expert on Microsoft SQL technology.

Responsibilities:
- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in managing multiple instance Database System environments, including Data Warehouse environments.
- Stable, progressive experience administrating and supporting SQL Server 2008, 2012 & 2014 infrastructure in a large-scale, corporate enterprise level environment.
- Experience in Cluster configuration, Replication, log shipping, database mirroring, Reporting services, Analysis Services and Always On.
- Designing, implementing, and supporting SQL Server database environments for Development, Quality Assurance, and Production.
- Proactively monitor SQL Server health and performance ensure high availability and reliability of the DB application environment and provide recommendations to improve performance and scalability of the SQL Server instances.
- Design and implement all database security to ensure integrity and consistency among the various database owners.
- Participates in global projects in the specific subject area and contributes with knowledge in that field, in order to secure that projects can be completed as expected and within timeframe.
- May assume the role of a Lead from time to time for a specific project or part of a project to ensure that the work progresses in line with expectations.
- Participates & available in Team Call Outs and provide Out of office Hours support, including weekend & public holidays, as required for the global service independently on rota basis
- Is capable of independently acquiring knowledge on new areas where Global Windows Infrastructure owns the service, which may/ may not have been in scope of service portfolio

- 5 years of relevant IT experience (Active Directory, SQL, Systems Centre, Windows Infrastructure, etc.).
- MS windows Server 2008 & 2012 R2 administration skills
- Deep technical expertise in a MS SQL or broad experience of multiple areas related to the Service being delivered
- Experience in working in both onshore and offshore teams in relevant technology area
- MS SQL Database System Administration certification
- Experience in ITIL framework and certification would an added advantage
- Day-to-day system operations support
- Day-to-day administration and oversight of the Database
