Senior aix administrator

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established international company.

You will be responsible for:

- Maintaining the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the systems environment.
- Monitoring the systems, responding to problems and plans for growth.
- Providing in depth systems analysis.
- Designing, installing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex operating systems software and related program products.
- Providing technical consulting on the use and integration of applications into the operating environment.
- Patching AIX / Unix / Linux environment,
- Deploying new builds, updating and deploying VIO servers, troubleshooting Unix based environment
- On call support outside business hours

The candidate should have knowledge of:

- Updating servers with latest technology level and service packs
- Creating standard process for security policy
- Remote administration of servers for any problem across offices
- Disaster Recovery
- Administration of PowerVM parts and High-availability clusters
- Large system migrations & infrastructure projects (data centre network and server infrastructure)
- Experience with Unix (preferred AIX) system administration including design of Unix (AIX)
- Infrastructure and integration into new and existing virtual and physical systems.
- Experience with Power hardware design, troubleshooting, server tuning,
- Optimization,and capacity planning.
