TEAM LEADER - accounting team

We are looking for an experienced team leader in accounting on a position TEAM LEADER IN GL DEPARTMENT. This is the a great opportunity to develop professionally and improve your leadership abilities.

Your main duties will be:

- Complex accounting and booking of entries on GL accounts
- Preparing of finacial statements according to IFRS / local GAAP
- Responsible for month closing
- Monthly preparing of Tax returns as VAT and communicaiton with legal institutions
- Provide guidance and share knowledge with colleagues relating to GL
- Create journals for updating the GL
- Monitoring of discrepancies and regular reconciliation of GL accounts
- Reviewing fiscal records and preparing of financial reports related to the general ledger
- Internal and external audit assistance
- Monthly and quarterly reporting on a group and management level
- Recommendation and implemention of improvements, controlling of functional areas
- Participation on projects as needed

The successful candidate should meet:

- University degree in Economics
- 3+ years of experience with complex accounting
- International environement experience
- Deep knowledge of complex accounting in compliance with slovak / IFRS standards
- Leadership experience is an advantage
- Advanced user of MS Excel
- Knowledge of KODA and HYPOS is a plus, but not neccessary
- Detail - oriented personality
- Ability to work well independently and as part of team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
