Head of payroll department

A prestigious company that is based in Bratislava is urgently recruiting a HEAD OF PAYROLL DEPARTMENT to join their finance team. This is a great chance to join a growing and successful company in a role that is both challenging and rewarding.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Reviewing existing payroll processes, driving efficiencies
- Ensuring fully documented process maps and standard operating procedures
- Manage a team of supervisors and payroll specialist who are responsible for processing payrolls for different locations throughout CEE
- Mentoring, Coaching and performance evaluation of the t eam
- Set up of individual goals and set up of department goals, KPIs and SLAs
- Proactive identification of critical areas and management of its timely resolution
- Supports the team to ensure effective uploads and flow of payroll information
- Works proactively with external auditors, internal auditors
- Reporting to senior management

The candidate should meet the following minimum criteria:

- University degree
- Understanding of payroll regulations and complexities
- Strong knowledge of English both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of payroll process, workflow and industry best practices
- Proven leadership competence
- Experience with working on cross functional teams and teams based in different locations
- Strong skills required; innovation, strategic thinking and problem solving
- Shared Servicing experience a plus
- Ability to travel to different markets based upon requirements of the role
