Ms sql databse administrator

A major and fast expanding international company, operating all over world, is opening new positions here in Bratislava. We are looking for MS SQL DATABSE ADMINISTRATOR.

- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in managing multiple instance Database System environments, including a Data Warehouse environment
- Stable, progressive experience administrating and supporting SQL Server 2005, 2008 & 2012 infrastructures in a large-scale, corporate enterprise level environment with strong SQL Server.
- Experience in Cluster configuration, Replication, log shipping, and database mirroring.
- Designing, implementing, and supporting SQL Server database environments for Development, Quality Assurance, and Production.
- Proactively monitor SQL Server health and performance ensure high availability and reliability of the DB application environment and provide recommendations to improve performance and scalability of the SQL Server instances.
- Design and implement all database security to ensure integrity and consistency among the various database regions.
- Knowledge of database recovery models including Mirroring and Clustering.
- Participates in global projects in the specific subject area and contributes with knowledge in that field, in order to secure that projects can be completed as expected and within timeframe.
- May assume the role of a Lead from time to time for a specific project or part of a project to ensure that the work progresses in line with expectations.
- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in Database System performance analysis and tuning (e.g., SQL query optimization, and database, schema, table, index, design, database object management, including tables, relationships, stored routines, triggers and users) and resource monitoring (e.g., disk I/O, server load, memory usage, capacity utilization)

The candidate should be:

- Should have MS windows Server 2003 & 2008 R2 administration skills
- Day-to-day system operations support
- Day-to-day administration and oversight of the Database / Data Warehouse Environments
- Database Server / Service Monitoring and Alerting System Design and Support
- Data Log Rotation / Archiving
- Enhancements and Improvements to Existing Database Systems Infrastructure
- System Automation
- Performance Tuning / Optimization
- HA / Fail-Over Testing
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills (English Must) both written and spoken
- Ability to create business cases
- Good presentation skills
