Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Responsible for producing (writing) promo materials related to projects, activities and the organisation in general using creative writing aimed at various target audience: press releases, leaflets, promo messages, brochures and others
• Management of our social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) using creative writing both in Slovak and English language
• Proofreading and editing in both English and Slovak
• Creating communication strategies for social media

Personality requirements and skills

The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:
- at least 2 years of experience in working in the fields of journalism, PR, copy-editing or copywriting
- at least basic overview and knowledge of current affairs in foreign policy, security issues, international affairs
- natural feel for writing in a style appealing to broader public (e.g. press releases) as well as to expert community
- natural feel for English and Slovak languages (bilingual background would be an advantage)
- work or school experience from an international environment (at least 2 years)
- be a book lover
- ability to work under pressure
- a strong attention to detail
- assertive approach, stress resistance
- advanced time management skills - able to multitask and work on several projects simultaneously
- be creative, communicative and responsible
