Wireless Services Consultant

Our client is a Silicon Valley based, leading wireless location company currently seeking a Network Consultant.

Successful candidate will be a part of team located in Slovakia and will primarily provide on-site services like deployment, installations, patch upgrades, troubleshooting, etc. for the client.
In addition to on-site services, successful candidate will provide off-site Services at GlobalLogic’s premises in Kosice like integration testing, feature testing and R&D support.

Job Responsibilities will include

• Install and configure software for 2G, 3G and LTE localization reference system and other supporting systems
• Work with local mobile operators to obtain all information and execute activities related to integration of localization system
• Monitor, debug and resolve any issues related to localization reference system yield and performance
• Work with engineers around the world and obtain design approvals for new integration activities
• Support the regular maintenance and upgrade activities related to systems
• Manage system verification lab to achieve the following:
- New release validation (installation, upgrades, feature validation)
- Patch testing (installation, patch sanity testing, patch soak)
- Reproduction of customer field issues
• Provide interface and support for R&D team

University education (Bachelor's degree)

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Technical requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Electrical engineering/Telecommunications
• At least 2 years of experience preferably working for a GSM carrier and/or Wireless/Telecommunication infrastructure vendors or experience in technical customer service, preferably in the telecommunications

Knowledge of:
- GSM, UMTS and LTE network
-Wireless network elements
- SIGTRAN and SS7 protocols
- basic RF principles and propagation models

Personality and other requirements:
• Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent English
• Willing to travel (30 – 70%)

• Professional training for the product in Silicon Valley, California.
• Travel and Expenses – All travel and related costs including but not limited to accommodation, transportation, medical, insurance, telephone, local transportation, daily allowances will be provided and paid by GlobalLogic
• Travel bonus – salary will be adjusted to compensate business trip up to 60%
