We are looking for a talented and experienced Test Engineer; a team player who is able to dive deep into test-related activities, can work self-reliantly and independently; who likes to work closely with various stakeholders in software/hardware development and project delivery to iron out any bugs in the product, and improve the quality of the final solution.
Your Main Tasks
• Analyzing requirements as to their testability, the testing methods to be applied and their allocation to various test phases
• Designing test procedures and defining test scenarios
• Creating test schedules and ensuring that the testing specifications are complete
• Analyzing, configuring, and preparing the testing environment
• Executing testcases, working with various testing tools, including simulators, measuring devices, diagnostic tools and analyzers
• Communicating and cooperating with customers, partners and development teams to understand and support the scope of business requirements and specifications and to provide appropriate verification & validation activities
• Investigating and documenting testcase results in Jira and Jama test/development management tools
• Reporting test status and progress based on the key figures, development and support for the development of test plans, test cycles and test statistics
Required Experience and Knowledge
• Experience with test execution and/or test management from an IT/NT environment
• TCP/IP stack knowledge is advantage, SIP/RTP in particular
• Legacy telco technology knowledge is advantage – e.g. T1/E1/TDM and serial lines
• Experience with embedded Linux/Unix systems is an advantage
• Experience with testing (manual or automated) and verification in complex projects and/or product developments
• Experience with a distributed solution in a combination of software and hardware elements
• Willingness, even affinity to work with hardware in lab
• Practical experience of test management tools (experience with Atlassian JIRA and Jama software is advantage)
• Experience in the field of automated testing tools and scripting languages is advantage
• Proficiency in written and spoken English, knowledge of German language advantage
