SAP Project Manager

As an SAP project manager you will be responsible for handling all the aspects of the implementation of a project delivered within enterprise systems landscape. You will be in charge of a team and the team members will look up to you for inputs, advice and evaluation. Here are some responsibilities:

• Organizing the full life cycle of a project (from preparation phases till post go live support), which includes: keeping deadlines, ensuring the scope and quality of delivery, keeping customer satisfaction on high level, ensuring that invoicing is done on time,
• Bringing new ideas to fulfil the business requirements,
• Assessing the achievability of the business requirements (e.g. from the perspective of standard or non-standard SAP development or from the perspective of upcoming sap enhancement packages),
• Evaluating, recommending, building and integrating with functional commercial and open-source software components,
• Working closely with the key professionals to devise technical strategy and architectural direction of project delivery,
• Offering right solutions and recommending backup plans when required,
• Active and significant participation in pre-sales activities.

• At least 5 years working experience with SAP as a consultant and 2 years of working experience with the management of SAP projects (can be compensated with 5+ years in project management in the area of delivery of ERP or Utility solutions based on non-SAP products),
• Understanding of processes in project management and people management (certifications can bring an advantage for you, but are not k.o. criteria),
• Assertiveness, Negotiation and Presentation skills,
• Understanding and using techniques of effective communication (in an environment where delivery is done in virtual and on-site teams),
• Overview about key company processes (deep knowledge of utility processes is an advantage),
• Active German or English language,
• University degree from IT or economics or management or natural sciences is a must.
