What is this position about

- Be fully responsible for end-to-end project management and delivery of large-scale projects focused on creation or substantial modifications of automated software platforms (in the field of finance and banking).
- Act as an end-to-end client-facing project (delivery) manager. The role will be aligned to client project teams to facilitate and enable the Brno Solution Centre to deliver project outcomes to our customers – always on time and to a high level of quality.
- Be responsible for scope, quality and financial aspects of a given project.
- Develop and maintain standards of delivery planning, tracking and documentation. . - Ensure that plans and documentation are kept up to date at all times.
- Be in direct daily touch with your project team and its individual members – knowing and helping them with the problems, supporting them and motivating them throughout difficult project periods.

As a Delivery Manager, you will:

- Be the key contact for client facing team and be the leader of your project with full responsibility for planning, organising, monitoring and controlling all aspects of the applications development, in accordance with SDLC and Development Standards
Understand broader business context of the Client and business case for the project.
Understand the project requirements, solution, and any technical or delivery dependencies and coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction in a timely manner and to a high standard.
Identify upfront and secure the resources (people, services, infrastructure, 3rd party) required to deliver the project and to forward plan with efficient capacity planning.
- To undertake project scheduling, resource management and planning including resolving scheduling conflicts with other projects and teams.
- Be ready to cooperate and communicate with the client on given subjects when needed.
- Be an innovative leader by planning and delivering the project in the most efficient way
- Take responsibility for ensuring the project is delivered to a high standard of quality and delivered on time to our customers from discovery phase to production maintenance following go-live phase.
- Manage Development project activities for multiple projects across all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure.
- Work collaboratively and innovatively with the development team, Systems Analysts, Lead Architect and the Project Manager to determine technical direction and approach to system design and implementation, including service support.
- Create, manage and track project artefacts, including, but not limited to:
- Project development schedules
- Detailed build project plans
- Build scope statements
- Build estimates
- Continuously improve the Build Management process and artefacts by contributing to the FNZ continuous improvement agenda.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of projects and staff; communicate with project teams at all times and frequently to ensure build deliverables are on schedule and within cost and quality parameters.
- Provide input into strategic planning.
- Be ready for occasional business trips outside of the Czech Republic

The experience and skills you need to have:

- Significant experience in leading the technical delivery of IT projects (from start to end)
- Proven track record of managing projects focused on development of new software
- Solid experience in project management of IT projects related to finance and banking domain
- SDLC knowledge is essential
- University education - Master’s degree – required
- PMP, PRINCE 2 or equivalent qualification preferred
- Expert in Microsoft Project
- Experience with waterfall approach (desired)
- Demonstrable experience in being a leader rather than a manager (including team management and conflict resolution experience) and strong leadership skills. You will be expected to directly participate in day-to-day management and operational tasks of the project team.
- Strong team player, able to manage mixed capability resources
- Experience of managing senior project stakeholders
- Experience in having client exposure, including key client project stakeholders
- Self-starter, able to work independently
- High stress resistance and ability to deliver to strict deadlines
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience with working in a multinational environment
- Fluent English
