Job description, responsibilities and duties

The SCM Solution Architect is responsible for managing the EMEA distributed SDLC & SCM Support team including all processes regarding to the software development and migration processes on the open system side across EMEA.

In strong collaboration with the EMEA SDLC & SCM domain leads in Germany and Slovakia you will manage all activities related to build, setup, rollout and maintain the distributed SDLC & SCM processes. Integration into the existing development and migration standards have to be integrated in the new SDLC processes. User and release support will be part of the daily work.

Job Specific responsibilities:

• Contribute in all phases of the distributed SDLC
• Leverage a deep knowledge of the CI process, automated builds and a variety of build tools to support the customer
• Support the creation, acceptance, usage, and maintenance of an enterprise-level common build environment and architecture
• Consultancy within multiple projects
• Build / configure / develop solutions within the specified timelines.
• Responsible for user support regarding all web related SDLC processes
• On-Call duty for supporting the production handover process.

Experienced in structured requirements definition, requirements gathering and working in projects
• Implement services / applications and develop distributed, highly scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant systems focused on creating solutions within service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Strong problem solving, analytical and programming skills with a strong understanding of principles behind service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Strong understanding of Continuous Integration Engineering and code branching / merging strategies
• Knowledge of the following SDLC products: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Maeven, Nexus, Sonar, Salt
• Knowledge in one of the following frameworks / technologies of: JEE, Spring, Java, XML, XSLT, HTML, Struts, JavaScript, Servlets, JDBC, AXIS
• Knowledge of German language would be an asset
