Job description, responsibilities and duties
* Design, configure and support the LAN/WAN infrastructure.
* Provide life cycle management, quality assurance, technical/troubleshooting support, traffic engineering, HW/SW configuration, disaster-recovery analysis, inventory management, utilization analysis, network implementation, problem management.
* Coordination with vendors to resolve production problems and to ensure product quality.
* Receiving escalations from operations teams and resolving customer-impacting network outages.
* Working with other internal teams on new LAN/WAN projects.
* Introducing new technologies to the production environment and ensuring these technologies are ready for wide scale deployment.
* Performing complex changes to networks that impact customers nationally and internationally.
* Working on problems of extremely complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation covering all aspects of IP based networking.
* Making major contributions that have direct impact on the quality of service provided to customers.
* Achieving results that have business benefits such as cost savings and efficiency improvements to the network.

•Undergraduate Computer Science Degree or equivalent work experience
•4-8 years of relevant IT experience with 1-3 in data networking
•Strong knowledge of large highly redundant distributed networks, related hardware and software components, network and design architecture, routers/switches, as well as MPLS and Internet VPN connectivity solutions
•Strong interpersonal and presentation skills required, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate and educate others about complex technology
•Flexible hours based on a milestone driven test/product development cycle
•Strong experience in network design, including WAN, transport, VoIP, VPN, and Firewalls
•Demonstrated Knowledge in TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, and a solid understanding of MPLS
•Industry standard certifications are a strong plus (CCIE, CCNP,)
•Background in large enterprise environments
•Understanding of transaction processing business technical network requirements
•Understanding of Cisco routing protocols and features.
•Experience in sizing data transmission requirements, provisioning carrier services, designing robust wide area networks.
•Experience with Visio and Remedy preferred.
