Job description, responsibilities and duties
Responsible for confidentiality of client information and compliance with department standards and procedures. Designs, installs, implements, maintains, and troubleshoots complex operating systems software and related program products. Provides technical consulting on the use and integration of applications into the operating environment.
The job holder will be required to design/deploy/support firewalls and network security infrastructure.
More specifically his/her duties include:
- Troubleshoot complex firewall issues
- Drive the upgrades and migrations between different environments
- Work with vendor on finding solutions
- Monitor traffic and access logs in order to analyze necessary troubleshooting steps
- Work with team members and other colleagues to provide full understanding of the issue at hand
- Provide "on-call" as appropriate
- Perform firewall policy updates
- Be willing to learn new technologies to support growing role
- Ability to drive projects and its dependencies
- Systematic approach to work processes and organizational skills

Personality requirements and skills
- Experience with Checkpoint / Provider-1, Juniper and Cisco firewall platforms
- Experience with HSM devices is desirable
- Understanding of Bluecoat proxies
- Past experience with IDS and different vendors providing it, included but not limited to Checkpoint
- Experience with F5 is very beneficial
- Network routing knowledge
- High level understanding of linux based appliances on OS level
- Knowledge of vendors and their products: Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco, F5, RSA, Sourcefire, Thales
- Experience with HSM devices is desirable
