Job description, responsibilities and duties



The EUC manager is responsible for all aspects of End User Computing for EMEA. This includes UK, Germany, Slovakia, Greece, Poland, the Baltics and surrounding countries (Serbia, Austria, Holland and other less populated locations). Responsibilities include

1. Centralizing management of people, process and tools for EMEA
2. Align with the global direction, working closely with peers in US, LAC and APAC
3. Deployment of centralized tools such as LanDesk
4. Move from laptop/desktop to a VDI strategy
5. Building a strong demand management function that ensures the EMEA EUC client base is adequately supported.
6. Managing ongoing projects - Windows 7, removal and upgrade of older releases of desktop software
7. Working closely with related teams (Active directory, Exchange) to ensure that the EMEA team is integrated into one domain and exchange environment
8. Building a strong team of VDI engineers, IT Helpdesk and EUC laptop and desktop support.
9. Working closely with the respective servicedesks to ensure correct funnel of requests from analyst to EUC administration.
10. Ensuring a succession plan for all teams leads in the various countries including a succession plan for the EUC manager.

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills



- 7-8 years - EUC experience
- Supporting 5,000+ employees
- Management over 20 direct and indirect reports
- Working knowledge of VDI and Citrix solutions
- Deployment of Voice and Mobile solutions working in conjunction with network and EUC teams.
- Working understanding of the Desktop solutions deployed (Windows 7, Exchange, Active Directory)
- Management of a IT Helpdesk and integration with respective servicedesks
- 4+ years of related international people management experience. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications.
