Job description, responsibilities and duties



Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead a category across the EMEA & APAC region and be an integral part of the Global Strategic Sourcing team, establishing global category strategies in conjunction with the US teams to deliver value and consistency across the business.

Knowledge of the market, suppliers and trends will be critical to supporting the organisation and creating an effective category strategy. Similarly the ability to organise workloads and negotiate critical contracts to tight deadlines, minimising our business risk and maximising our commercial benefit through scale and relationship are key to success. You will be required to work closely with business colleagues to understand sourcing requirements and demonstrate the ability to communicate with Senior Management and Directors globally.

    Personality requirements and skills

  • Strong experience in strategic sourcing and procurement is essential, to support and deliver cost saving programme across the region and exceed plan.
  • Experience in applying Category Management within one or more of the following categories IT, Proffessional services, Payment transaction technology, Point Of Sale (POS) Terminals is the asset .
  • Good communications skills will be required to manage across the numerous stakeholders.
  • Logical and pragmatic approach is required with the experience of working in an unstructured environment where data is not always readily available but a "dogged determination"; to collaborate and collate the information from disparate sources will ensure success and a strong working partnership with the business.
  • Degree level education or equivalent with approx. 5 years experience in corporate
  • Sourcing/procurement in a technology related environment ideally in a finance or service related organisation.
