Job description, responsibilities and duties

For our client we are looking for self-motivated PL/SQL developer who is excited about new challenging projects.

Responsibilities:
• PL/SQL- Programming (Setting up Change Requests, Project parts, Bug fixing)
• SQL Tuning, Performance Optimisation
• Data administration (Interfaces, data import / export, data maintenance and corrections)
• Production support (campaigns selections)
• Operations (challenge the jobs, monitor, revise) and troubleshooting
• Preparation of Documentation & Checklists
• Refactoring of Sourcecode
• Ensures the daily operation
• Operating support, process optimization and standardization
• Efficient and timely implementation of customer requirements
• Plan and implement system and process optimization
• It is a project for German marketing company with orders mostly for insurance companies

- Required education: University education (Master's degree)
- Specialisation, field: Infomatics, Information Technologies
- Language skills: English - advanced and German - intermediate (B1) (phone/e-mail, specifications, test-cases, correspondence with colleagues & business

Personality requirements and skills:
• Several years of professional experience in software development Oracle (4 years)
• Preferably experience in the processing of addresses as well as knowledge in Direct
Marketing as in CRM-Systems
• In-depth expertise in the implementation of complex projects, especially with web
architectures and mass data
• Several years of practical experience in object-oriented software development as well as in
the Application of iterative development processes (eg Scrum)
• Very good knowledge of Oracle database with focus on PL / SQL programming
• Experience with Oracle 10g R2, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9.2 or higher (including 64
bit)
• Several years of practical experience with SQL, ideally Programming with PL / SQL
• Preferably experience with Java EE specification and components
• Preferably experience with the Tomcat web application server
• Preferably experience with JBoss application server
• Preferably experience with BI-Cognos 8 (Report Net, Framework Mgr)
• High awareness of code and engineering quality
